You are buying a set of three (3), custom hand tied, tapered Fly Fishing Leaders. These leaders are made from 100% DuPont Fluorocarbon, a fantastic material that has a refractive index very close to that of water, making it nearly invisible when submerged. They have a perfection loop on the butt end for easy attachment to your fly line, and taper in sections to the tough tippet section. I personally tie these leaders when you order them, from fresh stock fluorocarbon! HEAVY DUTY LEADERS have been requested by customers for years. I have recently found a source for large diameter leader material in bulk, so I am able to offer these HEAVY DUTY LEADERS at a money saving price. The cost of this material has been prohibitive in the past, but now allows me to offer sets of three (3) leaders for the low price of $12.00 per set, for a limited time. These HEAVY DUTY LEADERS are not your average trout leaders. As with all good leader designs, I don’t start at the butt section like some manufacturers, I start with tippet size and work up the leader to get a balanced leader that will cast, turn over, and present a fly properly. My HEAVY DUTY LEADERS are meant for the big stuff. If you are headed out with an 8-12 weight Rod, looking for Chinook, Striped Bass, Bluefish, Back Water Tarpon, Redfish, or Snook, and have the guts to throw a big fly with no fear, then these ARE your leaders. My HEAVY DUTY LEADERS are offered in 9’ length with tippet weights of 17 pound, 20 pound, 25 pound, 30 pound. The body and butt sections are scaled up according to the tippet size, so the 30 pound tippet leaders have far heavier upper sections than the 17 pound tippet leaders, and will turn over the largest Mullet patterns and Saltwater Poppers. Some Ebay sellers are now offering leaders “Direct from the manufacturer”, but they don’t tell you who the manufacturer is. The DuPont Fluorocarbon material in my leaders is made in the USA. Since I personally tie all the leaders I sell, they are definitely made in the USA. Don’t settle for an off brand leader “Direct from the manufacturer”, who may be somewhere you have never heard of. I only tie the best, and don’t plan on changing. Also, others are now selling their leaders as fluoro blah blah blah….. . If it doesn’t say “100% fluorocarbon” in the description, it probably isn’t. Don’t be fooled by lesser quality. Each $12.00 bid will get you a set of three leaders. All leaders in a set must be the same weight. The tippet weights you have to choose from are 17 pound, 20 pound, 25 pound, and 30 pound. I tie leaders as they are ordered, so I can always get you what you want.
